Currently, Microsoft is selling Windows 8 Pro at a special discounted price of Rs. 1, 950 ($39.99). This special rate for the new version, which was released on October 26, 2012, will no longer be available after January 31, 2013. Windows 8 Pro will be available for around Rs. 10,000 ($199.99) starting 1st of February.
During the consumer electronics Show in Las Vegas, Microsoft announced that it has sold over 60 million units of its latest operating system in just over two months. This operating system is compatible with around 1700 computing devices like PC, tablet PC, laptops, etc.
