Nano means very small or minute. This word derived from Greek language. In statistic's language NANO means the part of the minus ten i.e. 0.000000001. It is possible to measure the 9th part of the minus ten of time, weight and distance or many sort of things.

If you measure time, it will be in NANOSECONDS and weight in NANOGRAMS. The word NANOTECHNOLOGY being used on a broad scale now a days. This technology is related to exuberance minute sized things.

Any thing, particularly an object, plastic, oxides even biological things are also comes under Nanotechnology. When things are going to be very immeasurably small, they changed their other properties as well as size.

For example : If the size of the gold minimized up to NANOMETER, it exchange its color from yellow to red. It means, its melting point goes down, i.e. the heat taken for melting has been less. Its surface area increased.

Due to all these things effectiveness and efficiency has been increased of an object and we can use this type of energy in any operation on a big measure.

That is the reason, to increase the importance and greatness of Nanotechnology. The research and development has been moving by a lightening speed and the industries turn over growing day-by-day.
