Robot at the service of Old-age Citizens

Robot - is an conventionalized agent and we know it by following means:

- It is artificially created.
- It can sense its environment, and manipulate or interact with things in it.
- It has some ability to make choices based on the environment, often using automatic control or a pre-programmed sequence.
- It is programmable.
- It moves with one or more axes of rotation or translation.
- It makes dexterous coordinated movements.
- It moves without direct human intervention.

But apart from all above things, old-age citizens who are not able to do their activity always need helps from others. In this modern age their destiny never reveals to get such things from their son or daughter and finally they are being sent to nursing home. But here is good news for them.

No need that it is a human being, this new machine will take care of Old-age citizen here after. The day never long, the robot has been taken care of them and pointing out their every activity. They will fulfill their every need which the wish to have. This robot will awakes the home owner early in the morning. It will remember them the time of lunch and dinner everyday. If they need any sort of help he will immediately available at the service and complete the further work. Such types of robots have been manufactured in the factory. They will prove that their presence is nothing but the boon for Old-age citizens. The sensors placed all over the house will gather the information likes are they slipped well at night or not? Are they forgotten to take their regular medicine or not? All thee things will be taken care of computer software that has been based on web.

Professor Philia McDown of University of Texas, America replied that this technology will give the secure feel to Old-age citizens at their home. Mr. McDown has established Heracliya Human Centered Computer Laboratory with the help of National Science Foundation at World University only for this purpose. He is working on this technical project for Old-age citizens with the help of their students and colleges. Till then wait and watch!

CrsInc.com : A Right Path Finder on Car Allowance

Many companies have changed their entire Management Policies in terms of soft furnishing and hard furnishing. The term "Car Allowance" is related to hard furnishing. Such companies made this provision to their employees especially for manager category. It is resulting to fulfill the dreams of those employees who are not able to purchase a car by their own. Actually, it is the necessity of the both parties; both an employee and employer have taken opportunity of this unique provision to travel for business opportunity at the customer's door, in turn save time and money as well.

Many of us (who have stayed back to the managerial post) have experience that at the end of the month we have to claim individual's Car allowance sometimes through the HR department or directly to the accounts department.

At the rush hours, it was happened many times with my colleagues and friends that they have a disagreement over the car allowance figurings. Some of guys intentionally forgot the said amount due to their sudden outburst of anger attitude. From last couple of days our group thought on this issue but finally we have empty hands.

Five days back, while surfing on the net I have found one website that proved a well-rounded solution on this issue. I have got such website named "CrsInc.com". The website, CRS, i.e., Corporate Reimbursement Services, Inc. is a management consulting firm that advises professionally on the issue of company's car allowance procedure. First, when I contacted with CRS, they give up an evenhandedly and precise breakage plan for me and my colleagues. Now, the month end scenario has been totally changed and no one arguing on this matter at finance department. Guys, if you are looking for such service then I recommend "CrsInc.com" to be a right path finder on car allowance. Just shake your hands with CrsInc.com.

How Micro Blog works? - 2

Guys, the program, "Micro-Blog" combines the capabilities of social networks (like FaceBook), cellphones, computer networks and geographic positioning capabilities, such as GPS or Wi-Fi. In dewy-eyed, people who use the "Micro-Blog" software will enter information, photos, comments, videos into their phone, where it will be 'tagged' by the user's location. All this information will then be sent to a central server, where it is available to all persons who participates in.

Mobile phones are already more than just communications devices, as most come equipped with cameras, GPS service, health monitors, and even accelerometers (devices which measure speed). "Micro-Blog" searches to take reward of this; e.g. a mobile phone fitted with an accelerometer and GPS service could also help record the speed at which the user is travelling along with location data. So, if you need to know where the traffic jams are, all you have to do is get at the "Micro-Blog" server. GPS would pin-point to phones in those areas, and the accelerometer in the phone would determine the existence movement and speed, thus showing where traffic is heaviest.

Although the latest prototype works with the Nokia N95 phone, it will finally be written for any kind of programmable phone. Still there are some resolvable brings out that need exchange between accurate geographic location and battery effectiveness. Romit Roy said, "while GPS can be accurate down to a few meters, it can also drain a battery in a few hours. On the other hand, Wi-Fi and GSM technologies are widely available and do not use as much energy , but they are not nearly as accurate. We believe that an approach blending thee technologies will probably solve that problem."

It is the big name in the field of IT. His name is "Romit Roy Choudhury". He is an Assistant Professor, Dept. of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Dept. of Computer Science at Duke's Pratt School of Engineering. He has received a 5-year, $437,000 National Science Foundation Early CAREER award. The distinction recognizes and supports the early career development activities of those teacher-scholars who are most likely to become academic leaders, according to the NSF.

He came to Duke in 2006 after completing a doctorate in computer science at the University of Illinois. While at Illinois, he was among the first researchers to investigate the tremendous potential of smart antennas in wireless networking. His research resulted in new technologies that have the potential to profoundly impact wireless networks of the future. For example, smart antennas may enable much faster internet access, as well as better coverage, and improvements in security and privacy.

Now, an Indian-origin scientist has developed a new GPS-enabled software system, which gives up you to leave 'virtual sticky notes' or site-specific messages for others on their mobile phones.

He has formulated a concentrated server based 'Mirco Blog', which enables users to obtain location-specific, real-time information from other mobile phone users across the world. It will be as if all participating mobile phones are working together, allowing each individual to access information throughout that virtual network.

Every mobile phone can provide teal-time information about its environment to any of the 3 billion mobile phones worldwide. Micro Blogs, one can believe will provide unexampled levels and amounts of information at your fingertips through your phone.

Just In Time : Todays Requirement

Guys, I might think that all you come across the words like QMS, TPM, EMS, FIFO, OHSAS, KAIZEN and KANBAN, etc. We are dealing with such systems while working with an organization. Each system has it's unique identity and only one effectiveness pertaining to the Quality and Productivity.

Here I am going to furnish one more unique system known as JIT (Just In Time).

Just-in-time, opened up by Taiichi Ohno in Japan at Toyota car assembly plant in the early 1970s, is a manufacturing organization philosophy. JIT cuts waste by supplying parts only when the assembly process requires them. At the heart of JIT lies the KANBAN, the Japanese word for card. This KANBAN card is sent to the warehouse to recorder a standard quantity of parts as and when they have been used up in the assembly/manufacturing process. JIT requires precision, as the right parts must arrive “just-in-time” at the right position (work station at the assembly line). It is used primarily for high-volume repetitive flow manufacturing processes.

Historically, the JIT philosophy bobbed up of two other things:

1. Japan’s wish to improve the quality of its production. At that time, Japanese companies had a bad reputation as far as quality of manufacturing and car manufacturing in particular was concerned.

2. Kaizen, also a Japanese method of continuous improvement.

The Just-in-time framework regards inventories as a poor excuse for bad planning, inflexibility, wrong machinery, quality problems, etc. The target of JIT is to speed up customer response while minimizing inventories at the same time. Inventories help to response quickly to changing customer demands, but in such a manner as could not be otherwise cost money and increase the needed working capital.

Typical attention areas of JIT implementations include:

1. Inventory reduction
2. Smaller production lots and batch sizes
3. Quality control
4. Complexity reduction an transparency
5. Flat organization structure and delegation
6. Waste minimization

Through the arrival of Internet and Supply Chain Planning software, companies have in the mean time extended Just-in-time manufacturing externally, by demanding from their suppliers to deliver inventory to the factory only when it’s needed for assembly, making JIT manufacturing, ordering an delivery processes ever speedier, more flexible and more efficient. In this way Integrated Supply Networks (Demand Networks) or Electronic Supply Chains are being formed. Just-in-time is sometimes referred to as ‘Lean Production’.

So, anywhere you are working with an organizations, if you come across the JIT system, please work upon the philosophy based on "Just In Time".

How to prevent your PEN drive from VIRUS

Guys, viruses are true enemies of our systems. Doesn't matter it may be the human (you have to just think over it). Many of your PC/laptop's normally gets virus because of Pen Drives or USB devices (even PC's who are not connected to network). Some Virus like Ravmon Virus , Heap41a worm which are not detected by anti virus normally spreads mostly by the Pen Drives . In such a case what can you do to prevent your PC from getting infected with Virus that spreads through USB devices or Pen Drives?

You can protect your PC by just following the simple steps below . It won't take much time.

1. Connect your Pen Drive or USB drive to your computer.

2. Now a interlocutory window will pop up and asking you to choose among the options as shown in the figure. Don't choose any of them, Just simply click Cancel.

3. Now go to Start--> Run and type cmd to open the Command Prompt window.

4. Now go to My Computer and Check the Drive letter of your USB drive or Pen Drive

e.g. If it is written Kingston (I:)

then I: will be the drive letter

5. In the Command Window (cmd) , type the drive letter: and Press Enter

6. Now type dir/w/o/a/p and Press Enter

You will get a list of files.

In the list, search if anyone of the following does exist.

i) Autorun.inf
ii) New Folder.exe
iii) Bha.vbs
iv) Iexplore.vbs
v) Info.exe
vi) New_Folder.exe
vii) Ravmon.exe
viii) RVHost.exe or any other files with .exe Extension

7. If you find any one of the files above, Run the command

attrib -h -r -s -a *.* and Press Enter

8. Now Delete each file using the following Command del filename (e.g del autorun.inf ).

That's it!

Now just scan your USB drive with the anti virus. Please ensure that you made your Pen Drive free of Viruses.
