Check Points And Control Points (CPCP):

Both check points and control points are used in measuring the progress of improvements related activities between different managerial levels. Check points represent process-oriented criteria. Control points represent result oriented criteria. A control point to a manager becomes a Checkpoint to his lower-level manager.

Checkpoints may be monitored with the help of Control charts (such as mini-max visual indicators, statistical control charts, etc.) such that the desired effect is seen on corresponding Control points. Check points and control points are also used in policy deployment. Check points are the strategies (i.e. ‘process’ criteria) and Control points (in terms of targets achieved) act as measure of Check points (in terms of performance of those strategies). Technical Terms used in Industry - 1

Guys, every subject has its own language of a particular group. To find it easy, it is necessary for the reader to know about the terms. So, just take a look at here:

AOP:

Annual Operating Plan of a company.

BMT (Behavioral Modulation Technique):

BMT is a technique for Kaizen success by improved leadership and communication. Performance of any organization is today mainly dependent upon the leadership provided by the Mangement and not upon mere installation of various Management Techniques.

BMT is a technique, which helps answering the question "How to we motivate our employees and change their behavioral patterns?" It involves following five simple principles consciously used, in every human transaction, to come out with positive outcome. The five principles are:

1. Maitain and enhance the Self-esteem of the employee.
2. Focus on the employee's Behavior, not personality.
3. Use Reinforcement technique to shape behaviour.
4. Actively listen for feeling and content.
5. Maintain communication and set specific Follow-up Dates.

BenchMarking:

Bench Marking should not be confused with industrial espionage. Rather, is is the art of finding out in a perfectly legal and above board way how others do something beter than you do so you can imitate - and perhaps improves upon-their techniques. It may or may not involve tearing down a competing product to see how it's built. Through research and field trips conducted by small teams, you can compare your products and processes with those of competitiors-yes, they sometimes cooperate - or with those of non-competing companies in your industry or enterprises in completely different businesses.
